With that massive membership there are many experienced practitioners, and black belts. This also means that there are far more inexperienced members. When taking advice from the BJJ Reddit it’s important to consider what the person’s knowledge base is, and if the information is legitimate.

Is There Good Jiu Jitsu Info On The BJJ Reddit?

The BJJ subreddit can be a great source of information. Aside from great information posted by the 700,000+ members, there are world class athletes that also post on the BJJ subreddit. One notable BJJ reddit poster is Keenan Cornelius. Keenan has been on reddit for over a decade, and posts anything from helpful tutorials and technique videos, to information on his upcoming matches. A couple other professional BJJ redditors are Craig Jones and Eddie Bravo.

Another great part of the Jiu Jitsu subreddit is “White Belt Wednesday”, where there’s a thread pinned to the top of the subreddit where any questions are welcome. No matter how simple, the questions are answered. This is a great outlet for new jiu jitsu practitiors that may be embarrassed to asked questions at their gym, or have questions about how to even get started doing jiu jitsu.
